Submission for print publication is closed until December 2021.
Submission for online publication is always open for rolling publication.
Submission Guidelines
Must be Microsoft Office .doc or .docx, google doc, or pdf.
Can be any length greater than or equal to 800 words. Bibliography and notes will be part of the word count.
Articles that are 800 to 2000 words in length will be considered for online publication on NOT EVEN PAST and past in posts.
Articles that are greater than 2000 words in length will be considered for print publication in Past in Process.
Book and film reviews will be accepted, but will be considered for online publication on NOT EVEN PAST and Past in posts. Please see the following link for recommendations on how to write book and film reviews.
Article should have been written for a class, thesis, academic project, or must be a book or film review.
Articles can be nominated by a professor, self-nominated (with accompanying letter from the professor), or purely self-nominated.
Article can be within any discipline, but it must be focused on a historical study.
Students cannot submit more than two articles per submission period.
Submissions cannot have been previously submitted to Past in Process or published anywhere else.

Any images that appear in the submission should be properly licensed and cited, and must appear within the text at appropriate points rather than at the end.
When submitting, do not place any identifying information within the body of the paper, as we will use a blind review process.
Upon acceptance, you will be contacted and must be willing to work with the editorial team for 1-2 months during the editorial process.
